Wave that rainbow flag, Doccalo! Angela and Ginger team-up for week 3 of Pride-Month and Bob is still gone. He hasn’t left much notice of anything but strange ineligible voicemails. But it sucks because Bob took all the money. Also, who writes these show descriptions? If it’s not Bob, then who is it? Seriously, what the fuck is going on? Let’s move on to this doc where we get into some drag culture history. This documentary just might be the most influential and culturally relevant film we’ve done on the Documenteers. It wouldn’t surprise us if most of you have already seen it. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and do so. It’s an educational film. Ginger and Angela are obviously discussing Jennie Livingston’s 1990 cornerstone documentary “Paris is Burning”. It’s an enlightening study of the legendary New York drag houses of the late eighties and you can watch this on your sister’s Netflix account. Happy Pride. Keep on Voguing. Keep on Doccin’.

Here’s the trailer.

Here’s Malcolm Mclaren’s “Deep in Vogue”.
